Our Story

Founded in the heart of Uttarakhand's Kumaon region, Mahila Prerana Evam Utthan Samiti (Women's Inspiration and Upliftment Committee) began with a simple vision: to create a society where women lead change, traditions thrive, and communities flourish sustainably. From humble beginnings in Gurna, Pithoragarh, we've grown into a grassroots force, tackling pressing issues—gender inequality, rural poverty, environmental degradation, and cultural erosion—through holistic, women-centric programs.
